The biggest impact of this picture, in my opinion, comes from the ilustration feeling of it.

The composition, the idea of a close view of an animal remembers to children storybook where the animals have human personalities.

As image I think it has a good feeling too. The contrast of red and blue -gray shadows works realy well. The texture gives it a little interest too and reinforces the ilustration feeling.
